Mary Ann Sedivy |

Mary Ann Sedivy resides in Newbury, Ohio. Inspired by the landscape in northeast Ohio and while traveling, she produces oil paintings that resonate with her love of the natural world. Her paintings are impressionist in style, with emphasis on the energy of the brushstroke and an abundant use of color. Her artistic endeavors are not limited to oil painting. Other media she explores are collage, jewelry making, ceramics, and photography. Each media has served as a means of inquiry and response to the media itself and to life’s quirks, questions and wonders. Mary Ann received a B.A. from Hiram College in Fine Art. She is an Art teacher at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School in Munson Township, Ohio. She has exhibited in Ohio in many juried exhibitions and has had several solo shows. |
